YESTERDAY WE–& by “we” I mean Chap, got up early to fire up the pit for brisket, ribs and jalapeno poppers–the perfect food for a small town Texas 4th of July celebration.
Parades started at 9 a.m., and by parade, I mean, anybody who has a bicycle, golf cart or boat dons their patriotic duds, grabs a flag and heads for Main Street for the land parade or the marina for the boat parade . . .
including Septic Trucks . . .
and patriotic pups . . .
and everyone shows up for the barbecue . . .
including the dogsĀ (especially the dogs!)
and the grumpy cat . . .
who was not amused at the fireworks . . .
even when they shot out over a blood-red full moon . . .
Hope your Independence Day was full of fun, friends and good food . . . and most of all, the blessings of freedom and family
Happy Fourth of July!

Awesome pics of the pups and the moon!
thank you! we had a lot of fun. except the cat. he only has fun when he’s chewing tails off of lizards *g* hope your 4th was wonderful!
