Meet my Friend Friday, Julie Ortolon!

I MET BESTSELLING AUTHOR Julie Ortolon more than a decade ago when we worked at a regional newspaper–we had a lot in common, including a love of reading, writing and art!
Jules is the person who told me, “Why are you wasting time writing for the newspaper and screenplays when you could be writing novels!”
And so, I took her advice and did. And boy am I glad.
It’s been fun watching Julie’s career skyrocket (I was at the office with her when she got The Call), and back then we never would have guessed that her successful traditional publishing career would evolve into groundbreaking work in the e-publishing industry! To follow her journey, check out her blog at Julie’s Journal Online (you can sign up for her newsletter there, too!)

Look What’s Cooking at Pearl Island

The Pearl Island Books website is growing by leaps and bounds. I have lots of goodies for you this month, and can’t wait to share.

Serving Up a Tempting Contest in Adrian’s Kitchen

Swing by my Facebook Page and click the Contest tab for rules on how to enter.

PRIZE: A $50 Gift Card to either Amazon or B&N (winners choice) and a chance to hang out with Adrian St. Claire at Adrian’s Kitchen. Adrian is the sexy chef from Don’t Tempt Me. His page at the Pearl Island Books Website is turning into a popular spot for sharing tasty recipes. Whoever wins the contest will have their recipe posted on the page along with a mention of them — so yes, authors, you are allowed and encouraged to enter. I promise I won’t be partial to either readers or authors, I love all of you equally. You can find even more tantalizing dishes, both savory and sweet, at the Adrian’s Kitchen on Pinterest

New Arrivals In Allison’s Gift Shop

If you love unique, handcrafted items as much as I do, you’ll really enjoy all the things I’m finding for Allison’s Gift Shop. Just in from the shores of Lake Erie, beautiful jewelry made from beach glass. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind creation from talented artisan Beth Martin. I’m especially fond of her Beach Angels, but she has many more designs to delight you.

Allison’s Gift Shop on Pinterest has cute finds as well!

Free E-books at Aurora’s Beach Reads

One of the best ways to discover new authors is with a free ebook. I currently have several to offer from some of my talented friends, from historical to contemporary, both romance and mystery. New titles are always coming, so bookmark Aurora’s Beach Reads and check back often.

Also follow Aurora’s Beach Reads on Pinterest for even more reading recommendations. Always double check prices since promotions and sales are for limited times only.

So, that’s it for now. I’m off to work on my next release. News on that will be coming soon. Until then, happy cooking, shopping, and reading!

Julie
